Mechatronics will NOT make you unemployable.

I sense a huge concern of specialising in mechatronics is that it’ll be difficult to find a job. Maybe you’ve heard something along the lines of this:

Why would a company hire a mechatronics graduate for a mechanical role if they could just hire a mechanical engineer?

Huge misconception. I know a few older mechatronic students, none of them have expressed that concern. If you stalk mechatronic graduates on linkedin, you’ll find they all land mechanical/electrical/software roles in big firms.

Same goes with internships! Very possible to secure an internship with a mechatronics degree. Honestly if you are worried about employability, don’t worry about your spec, I’d rather you worry about your extracurriculars/GPA/experience lol. That said I do not endorse worrying 🙅🏻‍♀️ its such a waste of time and brain energy bro.

That’s all I have for this post. Hopefully it was a bit reassuring. See you next and last post!!!!!!
